About Us:
The City of Granite Falls Water Department strives to provide residents and businesses with superior, safe, clean, softened, and fresh-tasting water. In 2013, the City completed the construction of a new $10.5 million dollar water treatment plant which is capable of treating more than 800,000 gallons of softened water per day. The new lime softening treatment reduces the raw water's hardness by more than five-fold to approximately 100 milligrams per liter -- considered the industry standard for quality. All in all, the City of Granite Falls boasts some of the highest quality water in the state and region due to its new water treatment plant.
